Düsseldorf - In the forthcoming 2012/13 campaign, Fortuna Düsseldorf will play Bundesliga football for the first time in 15 years. Regensburg savour the occasion
Karlsruhe - It was shortly after midnight on Monday, but the away team were still singing heartily in the changing room at the Wildparkstadion, and little wonder. A couple of hours earlier, SSV Regensburg had held Karlsruher SC to a 2-2 draw, sealing promotion to Bundesliga 2 next season.

Regensburg win promotion - KSC go down
SSV Jahn Regensburg can look forward to playing in Bundesliga 2 again following an eight-year hiatus, after drawing 2-2 with Karlsruher SC at the Wildparkstadion. That left the teams tied at 3-3 on aggregate in the relegation/promotion play-off, with the Liga 3 side, who were reduced to nine men by the finish, edging through on the away goals rule.

Düsseldorf reach the play-offs despite Pauli's proficiency
Munich - Fortuna Düsseldorf will meet Hertha BSC Berlin on Friday 10th May for the first leg of their promotion play-off tie after securing third place in the Bundesliga 2 despite only managing a draw at home to MSV Duisburg. St. Pauli thrashed Paderborn but were left disappointed after finishing level on points with Düsseldorf, their inferior goal difference ultimately proving the deciding factor.

Munich - It was the end of the road for F.C. Hansa Rostock on Matchday 33 as, despite netting four away to Union Berlin, the eastern German side finished on the wrong end of a 5-4 scoreline and duly drop to the 3. Liga. Aachen meanwhile kept their hopes alive with victory over relegation rivals Karlsruhe, while away defeats for Aue and Cottbus left them entrenched in the quagmire.
